Mickael MELKI, PhD in Economics in 2012 (Paris 1 Sorbonne), HDR in 2020 (Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas), is a Full Professor in the Economics Department of Paris School of Business.
He teaches "International Monetary Economics" and "Contemporary Economic Issues" in Bachelor and Master, as well as research-related methodological courses in the DBA program.
His main research interests include Political Economy, long-run economic development, Public Finance and Economic History.
His researches have been published as NBER working papers and in journals such as European Economic Review and Journal of Comparative Economics.
His researches have also been presented at numerous international conferences, including Harvard Eco. Hist. seminar, and have been awarded by the European Commission (Marie Curie Seal of Excellence) and Prix de la Fondation des Sciences Sociales. He has also been invited as a Visiting Researcher at UCLA (US), Pompeu Fabra (Spain), York University (UK) and Bar-Ilan University (Tel-Aviv). He is currently Associate Researcher at Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas (LEMMA).
Regarding the diffusion of his research in the media, he has published numerous articles in Le Point and he is the Founder and Editor-in-chief, since 2021, of Intelligible, a review of scientific popularization, edited by the Foundation of PSB.
