Entrepreneurial resilience amid the COVID-19 pandemic: Echoes of a British catering and hospitality startup
Meriam RAZGALLAH, Basel HammodaThis case discusses the strategies and practices used by a British catering and hospitality startup to survive the COVID-19 crisis. It applies the entrepreneurial resilience components—used before, during, and after a crisis—to analyze and discuss the case. A qualitative methodology, based on individual semi-structured interviews with the startup’s two co-founders, is used to collect data. Secondary data are also used, as in published interviews and on company website. Our study contributes to the scarce literature on entrepreneurial resilience by understanding in more depth the factors and processes involved in it. It also provides startups with insights for implementing strategies and utilizing resource in an effective way to cope with unexpected events.
